To add a manual component measurement to an assigned component, go to the Railnova platform and click on "Manual readings".

To add a component measurement, select an asset from the dropdown list, tick the "Component measurement" checkbox, and choose the component type for which you want to create a measurement.

You can then register the value and even upload a document.

Once your entry is ready, click "Save" at the bottom right of your screen.

Note that this component measurement template can be configured as a custom field. You can read more about custom fields and how to set them up in the following article.

If you added a document to your component measurement, it will be displayed for archiving purposes on the admin page under Measurement documents in the section Component management.

If you or your colleagues want to be informed when a new component measurement is created on the platform, you can also create a notification rule for new measurement creation.
The required steps to create such a notification rule are summarised in the following article.
