How to modify the operational status of an asset

You can modify the operational status of an asset from the Operational dashboard. To access the dashboard, go to the Railnova platform, then head over to the "Railfleet" section and click the "Operational" link.

A simple action you can take on the dashboard is viewing and updating the operational status of assets.

You can verify if an asset is operational (green), in degraded mode (yellow), immobilised (red) or not yet defined (black) in the blink of an eye.

From here, you can view and manage the operational status of your assets.

Managing the operational status

You can easily set or update the operational status by clicking on the current status on the Operational dashboard. This will open the Overview page on the Locomotive dashboard where you can select a new operational status in the dropdown menu on the right of the page.

You can set the date and time in the past or keep it to the current time, but you cannot set the status in the future.

Once saved, the new operational status will be visible instantly to the colleagues and partners who have access to the asset on the platform.

Note that if you receive notifications for operational status updates, the notification will be sent at the time the status was changed. For instance, if you change the status at 10 am, but set the time at 8 am, the notification will be sent at 10 am. This doesn't mean that the notification has a 2-hour delay.

As a company admin, you can create detailed operational statuses by following the steps described in the following article.

Note that modifying the operational status of an asset that has been shared with you by another company may be restricted.

Can't modify the operational status?

If the asset is administered by your company on the Railnova platform, please contact your company admin and ask him to modify the operational status for you or ask if your Railnova account can be modified.

If the asset is administered by another company on the Railnova platform, please contact the company admin of the company administering the asset on the Railnova platform and ask him to modify the operational status for you or modify the delegation of data sharing to enable you to perform this action.
