Companies marked as being on a Free plan have been invited to the Railnova platform by one of our customers, but are not Railnova customers themselves.
If your company is on a Free plan, this status will be clearly displayed on your homepage once you’re logged in.
Free plan companies don’t have access to standard Railnova support. However, we’re happy to help if you encounter a platform bug or need technical assistance with a Railster installation. In that case, please click on "Contact us" at the top right of your screen to get in touch with our support team.

Users and permissions management
What access do I have as a "free plan" user?
Free plan companies have standard access to Railfleet, Railgenius and Railster modules on the platform.
Users can only view data shared with them by the asset administrator and access modules based on their assigned role (administrator, manager, driver, etc.).
If a free plan company user has access to the administration menu, they can only view public roles and manage users. All other options are unavailable, and this cannot be modified.
I'm an admin of my "free plan" company, but I don't know how to access the admin page.

I would like to add more users from my company. How can I do this?
Most free plan companies have auto-registration enabled, so users from your company with your company's domain can register themselves by following the steps described in this article.
Alternatively, if you have an administrator, they can create users themselves in the admin menu, as explained in this article.
I don't know who the administrator for my "free plan" company is, or we don't have one yet.
If you don't know who your administrator is, please contact support, and we'll provide you with the name of your company's administrator.
If your free plan company doesn't have an administrator yet, please inform support which user should have admin access. Support will update that person's role so they can add additional administrators and/or manage users.
I would like to change user roles or deactivate users from my company.
Please contact your company administrator to request any changes to your role or to deactivate other users within your company.

Assets and data access
I can no longer see assets shared with my company.
If you were able to view assets on the platform in any module you have access to (Operational, Map, Telematics data, etc.), and you can no longer see them, the asset is likely no longer shared with your company.
Please contact the asset administrator directly and request that they re-share the asset with your company.
Please note that Railnova doesn't share assets on behalf of its customers.
I want to have access to an asset, but I don't know who its admin is or whom to contact.
To get access to assets managed by another company, you must contact the relevant asset administrator and request that the assets be shared with your company.
If you don't know who the admin of the asset in question is, please contact support, and we will provide you with the admin's contact information.
Please note that Railnova doesn't share assets on behalf of its customers.
A company has shared assets with my "free plan" company, but I cannot see the telematics data on the Operational dashboard.
On the Operational dashboard, all companies with which the asset is shared can view the asset counters.
However, telematics data comes from a live data configuration set up in the administration menu by each company.
This menu option is restricted and not accessible to free plan companies, and asset administrators cannot share their live data configurations. Without a live data configuration, you won't be able to see telematics data on the Operational dashboard.
However, you can view telematics data in the following Railgenius modules:

- Telematics data (Help article)
Note that Railnova cannot modify this for your company.
The page "Live Monitoring" is empty
The data visible on the "Live Monitoring" page comes from a live data configuration set up in the administration menu by each company.
This menu option is restricted and not accessible to free plan companies, and asset administrators cannot share their live data configurations. Without a live data configuration, you won't be able to see telematics data on the "Live Monitoring" page.
However, you can view telematics data in the following Railgenius modules:
- Data inspector (Help article)
- Telematics data (Help article)
Note that Railnova cannot modify this for your company.
I have access to the "Data Export" page, but I am unable to request a data export.
Data exports are available exclusively for Railgenius customers. If you would like a data export for a specific locomotive, please contact the locomotive administrator and ask them if they can provide you with this data.
I am trying to set up an external interface with the API, but it is not working.
Free plan companies can access several API requests through the user interface, but cannot connect to the API programmatically. Automated API access is reserved for paying customers.

Access to advanced features
If you do not see specific setup options in the administration panel, it means that this functionality is not included for free plan customers, and you therefore do not have access to it. Please note that our platform does not allow the addition of specific access rights for free plan customers.
