Changing the time zone on the Railnova platform

Analysing and comparing data is much easier and faster if you don’t have to worry about figuring out which time zone is used, and having to convert the dates and hours to the right format. Luckily you can easily verify and change the time zone on the Railnova platform

By default, the time zone is set to Europe/Brussels. You can however easily change it at any time by following these steps: 

  • Go to the navigation bar at the top of the page

  • Click on your email address

  • Select your preferred time zone from the drop-down menu under the section "Time zone"

Once you've selected a time zone, all dates and hours on the Railnova platform will be shown in that time zone.

When you change the time zone on the Railnova platform, this will also affect the time zone used in the alerts and notification emails. The time of the alert and notification messages that are generated from your assets will be shown in the same time zone as the one you selected on the Railnova platform.

Please note that all data is stored internally in UTC. The time stamps displayed online in the telematics data are displayed in the time zone of your profile, which does not apply to the downloads (offline). These remain in UTC time.
