The Component state column indicates whether the component structure assigned to an asset is fully mounted.
As a company admin, you can check the component state of the asset directly on the admin page.
Component states
There are three different component states:
If your component state is marked with a "green checkmark", it means that a component structure has been assigned to your asset and that all of its components have been mounted on your asset.
If your component state is marked with a "grey question mark", the asset does not have a component structure assigned. You need to assign or create a component structure as described below.
If your component state is marked with a "red x", you assigned a component structure to your asset, but you either did not mount the head (root component) on your asset, or a component of your component structure is missing and not mounted on the asset.
Reviewing the component state
You can review the current component state of your assets in the assets list on the admin page.
If you are a company admin, go to the admin page, navigate to the Assets section, and click on Assets. The component status of each asset is displayed in the column 'Component state'.
Changing the component state
Based on the current component state of the asset, follow the steps as described below:
Green checkmark
If the asset's component state is a green checkmark, the component structure is in place, and all components are mounted on it. No further actions are required from your side.
Note, however, that in case you create a new element of the component structure, the component state will turn and stay red until that component is mounted as well.
Red x
If the asset's component state is a red x, the component structure is assigned to your asset, but not all components are mounted yet.
To achieve the green checkmark state, you need to mount all components defined in the structure, as explained in the following article.
Grey question mark
If the asset's component state is a grey question mark, no component structure has been assigned to it yet.
To achieve the green checkmark state, you first need to create the component structure and then mount all components into the structure accordingly.
