The Component state column indicates whether the component structure assigned to an asset is fully mounted.
As a company admin, you can check the component state of the asset directly on the admin page.
Component states
There are three different component states:
If your component state is marked with a "green checkmark", it means that all components have been mounted in the component structure.
If your component state is marked with a "grey question mark", it means that the component structure is currently undefined and no component structure has been assigned to the asset yet.
If your component state is marked with a "red x", it means that a component structure was assigned to the asset already, but no or not all components have been mounted in the component structure yet.
Reviewing the component state
You can review the current component state of your assets in the assets list on the admin page.
If you are a company admin, go to the admin page, navigate to the Assets section, and click on Assets. The component status of each asset is displayed in the column 'Component state'.
Changing the component state
Based on the current component state of the asset, follow the steps as described below:
Green checkmark
If the asset's component state is a green checkmark, the component structure is in place, and all components are mounted to it. No further actions are required from your side.
Note, however, that in case you create a new element of the component structure, the component state will turn and stay red until that component is mounted as well.
Red x
If the asset's component state is a red x, the component structure is in place, but not all components are mounted yet.
To achieve the green checkmark state, you need to mount all components defined in the structure, as explained in the following article.
Grey question mark
If the asset's component state is a grey question mark, no component structure has been created for it yet.
To achieve the green checkmark state, you first need to create the component structure and then mount all components into the structure accordingly.
