Inventory
Updated over a week ago

As a company administrator, you can create a number of inventories where your components are located when they are not mounted on the asset.

Inventories

To create a new inventory, go to the admin page, head to the Component management section and click on Inventories.

On this page, you can view all inventories that have already been created by your company.

Add inventory

If your desired inventory is not available yet, you can create it by clicking on "Add inventory."

A new form appears on the screen and you're asked to fill in the following fields:

Active

After clicking on the "Add inventory" button, a new form will appear on your screen with the active checkbox set as active.

Name

Add a name to the inventory you are creating.

If you would like to keep track of the different states of components while they are in inventory, you can differentiate the inventory locations by marking them as "ready" or "to be repaired."

Point of interest

You can choose a physical location for the inventory by using the POI list.

Company

Your company is already predefined in the form.

Is default

If you tick the box "is default", each component that is newly created on the platform will be put in this inventory. Please note that only one default inventory location can be created.

Once you are finished filling in the form, don't forget to click on the blue 'Save' button to save your changes.

Inventory used

When you mount a component in the asset's component structure for the first time, you can choose an inventory location you created on the platform, as this action is a component assignment.

Please note, however, that this option is not available when you want to swap a component. As in this case, a component is already mounted, so it is no longer considered an assignment but a swap.
The current implementation is that a swap occurs from the same inventory. To pick your component from another inventory, you first need to unmount the currently mounted component to inventory A and then mount the new component from inventory B.
