The Railnova platform is designed to be collaborative, allowing you to effortlessly communicate and cooperate with your partners (operators, lessors, ECM,...) on your fleet operations. With the Railnova platform, fleet managers can send defect reports and dispatch online maintenance work orders to their own or external maintenance teams for instance. User roles and permissions have been defined to meet this collaboration requirement, without putting data integrity at stake.
Roles and associated permissions
As a company admin, you can easily create new users within your company and modify their settings later on.
When creating a new account, you must select a role for the user. The role you assign to the user will determine the permissions that will be granted to the user on the platform.
Some roles are already predefined and available to every customer. You can browse these roles and their permissions by clicking on the admin menu, then going to the Company section and selecting "Roles".
If you need specific permissions and none of the available roles suits your needs, you can create your own role(s) by clicking "Add role". Select a name, key and the permissions, then click "Save".
The "Notifications only" role is a role without any permissions. This is to give you the possibility to add users to notifications without giving them any access to the platform.
Note that every action is logged and can easily be undone, allowing you to collaborate with your partners in full transparency and without risk. This, in turn, empowers you and your coworkers to take full advantage of the Railnova platform!
