Once you have deployed your LuaCEP rules to at least one asset, you can check whether they contain any errors by following the steps below.
Go to the Railnova platform and click on "Telematics data".
At the top of the page, use the filters to find the relevant messages.
Set the filters as follows:
Asset: Select the asset on which you have deployed your LuaCEP rules from the dropdown list
Type: Select the message type "mre_alert"
Date range: Select "last hour"
Then click on "Apply filters".
In the filtered results, look for entries labelled "INVALID RULES" in the "name" column.
If you find any "INVALID RULES" entries generated after you last updated the LuaCEP rules for that asset, it indicates that your rules contain errors.
If no such entries appear, no rule errors have been detected in the selected time range.
Note: If you updated your rules more than an hour ago, adjust the date range to cover the period since your last update.
If you detect errors, review your LuaCEP code and make the necessary corrections. You can then update your rules as explained in this article.
Once you have deployed your corrections, repeat the steps above to check for any new errors.
