With Railfleet, your drivers have the possibility to report defects, which will automatically appear on the Operational Dashboard. To do this, all your drivers need is a Railfleet account. Both available features are accessible with the internet browser of your drivers' phones or tablets. The page layout adapts to mobile devices.
Let’s take a look at how both options work:

1. Reporting a defect via the Digital Train Logbook

Railfleet allows drivers to create corrective events by accessing the digital train logbook, a standalone page that shows the operational status of the asset, usage restrictions if there are any, as well as the history of previously reported defects.

From this page, you can easily create a new defect for an asset. To do so, you click on the "Create corrective event" button on the right hand side of the page:

Next you fill out the defect form (the number of fields that appear on the form will depend on what your administrator has already set up in the administration dashboard). Here you will find more details on how to report a defect via the Digital Train Logbook: Reporting a defect via the Digital Train Logbook

To simplify the process even further for your drivers you can easily create a QR code per asset that leads to the right Digital Train Logbook and place this inside the drivers cabin.

2. Reporting a defect via the Defect Form

From the Operational dashboard you can also create a new defect for an asset. To do so, you search or filter for the right asset. Next, you click on the little arrow on the right hand side of the asset bar.

In the details view, you click on the blue "Create corrective event" button:

Next you fill out the defect form (the number of fields that appear on the form will depend on what your administrator has already set up in the administration dashboard).
